Saliu Mustapha disowns purported APC senatorial aspirants’ list

The camp of Senator Saliu Mustapha has dismissed as fake and misleading a purported list of aspirants in the ongoing APC Senatorial Primary Elections currently circulating on some platforms.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Media Assistant to the Senator, Nasif Sholagberu, the document containing the name of Senator Saliu Mustapha as an aspirant for the Senate seat was described as “forged, fake, misleading and of no consequence.”

The statement clarified that Senator Mustapha officially obtained APC nomination forms to contest for the governorship of Kwara State in the 2027 General Elections, noting that the process was carried out openly and publicly before party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and members of the public.

According to the statement, the Senator neither obtained nomination forms for the Senate nor participated in any screening process for the senatorial contest.

The media aide challenged anyone or group claiming otherwise to publicly present credible evidence to support such claims.

Party members and the general public were consequently advised to disregard the purported list and what was described as misinformation being spread by “mischief makers” allegedly seeking to create confusion within the party.
