The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Ruth Abiola Adimula fspsp, a Fellow of the Society and Coordinator of Partnership Programmes, on two distinguished achievements.

In a statement issued by the Secretary General, Dr. John Tor Tsuwa (PhD, fspsp), on behalf of the President, Prof. Benjamin Adeniran Aluko (fspsp), the Fellows, and the entire membership of the Society, SPSP celebrated Dr. Adimula on the following milestones:

1. Her appointment as a Member of the National Committee on the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law Treaties in Nigeria; and

2. The adoption of her book, *"International Humanitarian Law (also known as the Law of Armed Conflict)"*, by the Federal Ministry of Justice for use in all its institutions.

The Society described both the appointment and the book adoption as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Adimula's professionalism, dedication, and contribution to the study and practice of International Humanitarian Law and peacebuilding in Nigeria and beyond.

SPSP expressed confidence that as a Fellow and Coordinator of Partnership Programmes, Dr. Adimula will not only do the Society proud but also create strong institutional linkages between SPSP and the organizations she is now engaging with at the highest level.

The Society wished her a fruitful working relationship in her new appointment and expressed hope that her book will continue to shape decisions and policies towards creating a better life for all humanity.
