Kwara State Governorship aspirant, Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT), has paid glowing tribute to the Oba Ahmadu Babalola Awuni Arepo, the Elese of Igbaja-Ireseland on the occasion of his birthday, describing the revered monarch as a royal icon whose reign continues to embody peace, dignity, cultural preservation, and purposeful leadership.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Dr. Alabi celebrated the monarch’s enduring contributions to the growth and stability of Igbaja community, noting that the Elese has remained a strong pillar of unity and moral authority at a time when traditional institutions continue to play critical roles in sustaining social harmony.

According to him, the royal father’s leadership style, rooted in wisdom, humility, and fatherly guidance, has not only strengthened the bond among his people but has also elevated the prestige of the traditional institution within and beyond Kwara State.

“Kabiyesi represents the true essence of royal leadership. His reign reflects wisdom, compassion, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of his people. He is not just a traditional ruler but a symbol of stability and communal strength,” AOT stated.

Dr. Alabi further noted that the Elese of Igbaja has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the preservation of the rich cultural values and heritage of the community, while also embracing developmental ideals capable of moving the community forward.

He said the monarch’s ability to unite people across different backgrounds and generations remains one of the defining attributes of his reign, adding that his influence continues to inspire confidence, mutual respect, and collective responsibility among the people.

The governorship hopeful described the birthday celebration as a moment of gratitude and reflection for the entire Igbaja community and all admirers of the royal father, stressing that the monarch’s life of service deserves honour and appreciation.

“This celebration is not merely about marking another year; it is about celebrating a life of impact, sacrifice, and service to humanity. Kabiyesi has continued to demonstrate that true leadership is measured by the peace, unity, and progress experienced by the people,” he added.

Dr. Alabi prayed for continued divine wisdom, sound health, strength, and longevity for the monarch, expressing optimism that his reign would continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, and development for Igbaja land.

“As Your Royal Majesty marks this special occasion, I pray that Almighty Allah continues to strengthen and guide you. May your reign continue to flourish in peace, honour, and remarkable accomplishments for the benefit of your people and future generations,” he said.

The birthday anniversary of the Elese of Igbaja has attracted goodwill messages and tributes from political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and prominent sons and daughters of the community, many of whom described the monarch as a custodian of culture, a voice of wisdom, and a stabilizing force in the traditional landscape of Kwara State.
