 UPDATED:Another don, Olatoke, join Body of Benchers

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, and another Professor of Law at the University, Olukayode Joshua Olatoke, SAN, have been appointed Members of the Body of Benchers, the apex body responsible for the governance of the Legal Profession in the country. 


A statement by the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr Kunle Akogun, disclosed that "the appointments of the renowned legal luminaries are contained in separate letters sent to them by the Secretary to the Body of Benchers, Mr Daniel L. Tela.


The letter, dated March 31, 2026, indicated that the appointments, which take immediate effect, are for a period of three years.


The two dons are specialists in Jurisprudence and International Law.
