Prof Soetan, who delivered  the University's 295th inaugural lecture on "The Right Language and Instructional Resources" on January 8, 2026,  emphasized that educational technology is indispensable, affecting all human beings and invaluable. She expressed pride in having supervised over 100 undergraduate projects, 25 Master's,dissertations and 6 PhD theses.

Praising the University's management, led by Prof Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, and the Faculty of Education, Prof Soetan encouraged students, staff, and the public to download ede yoruba dotun app

on  playstore  and leverage indigenous languages to enhance education.
