 OMO ‎IGBOMINA TO HOLD INTERFAITH PRAYER FOR PEACE AND SECURITY

 ..   calls on indigenes to be united in prayer

‎The leadership of Omo Ibile Igbomina, under the National President, Sir Bisi Fakayode, has announced the convening of a special interfaith prayer session for all sons and daughters of Igbomina land.

‎In  a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, ‎Omo Ibile Igbomina Barrister . Bisi Adedayo‎   he  said the p rayer gathering is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Igbomina National Secretariat, Ganmo, Kwara State, commencing at 11:00 a.m The session will be jointly led by respected Christian and Islamic clerics, reflecting the unity and shared commitment of the people to peace and security.

‎Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Sir Fakayode underscored the urgent need for divine intervention in addressing the rising challenges of insecurity, including kidnapping and banditry, within Igbomina land. He noted that while ongoing conventional measures remain essential, spiritual engagement is equally vital in the collective quest for lasting peace and stability.

‎He called on all indigenes to come together in faith and unity of purpose, emphasizing that collective prayer remains a powerful instrument in confronting the challenges facing the region.

‎

_‎“Prayer remains a potent tool, especially in times of uncertainty, and we must not underestimate its efficacy. When faced with challenges beyond human control, we must turn to God, who answers prayers and grants deliverance,”_ the President stated.

‎

‎The National President further urged all stakeholders to accord the initiative the seriousness it deserves, stressing that the fight against insecurity must be holistic,  combining both strategic action and spiritual commitment.

‎

‎He reaffirmed that the socio-cultural body, in collaboration with traditional institutions and other relevant stakeholders, is actively pursuing sustainable solutions to the security concerns in the region.

‎

‎Sir Fakayode therefore appeals to Christians, Muslims, and all well-meaning Igbomina indigenes to attend the prayer session and mobilize others within their communities to participate in what he described as a critical step toward restoring peace, unity, and progress in Igbomina land.
