The University of Ilorin Mentorship Centre is set to host its inaugural Mentorship Lecture, themed "Mentorship in the Era of Economic and Security Crisis: Issues, Challenges and Solutions". I


n a statement issued by the Mentorship Lecture Planning Committee, this highly anticipated event will feature renowned Guest Lecturer, Prof. Yusuf Ali (SAN), FCIArb, FINALS, Kuliya Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, and esteemed Chief Host, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.


The programme is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, at 11am in the University Auditorium. This lecture promises to be a landmark event, offering valuable insights and solutions to navigating economic and security challenges.


The event is open to students, faculty members, staff, and the general public. Prof. T.M.   Dr A. R. Kamal : Tribute to An Apostle of Simplicity By Abubakar Imam On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Ilorin Emirate lost one of its finest patriots, Dr AbdulGafar Rasheed Kamal . Until his death, Dr Kamal was the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Ilorin .  The death of Dr Kamal came to me with a rude shock.
