 Always Support Your Leaders, Ansar-ud- Deen Missioner Charges Ilorin Elites at AA Ramadan Lecture

  The National Missioner of Ansar-ud- Deen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh AbdulRahman Ahmad, on Sunday stressed the need for the Ilorin elites to always rally round any of their kith and kin who Allah has made a leader at a particular time.

He said such support for the one that Allah has chosen as a leader is necessary, not only to sustain the legacies of the founder of Ilorin, Sheikh Alimi, but to ensure the growth of the community.

Sheikh Ahmad made the call while delivering a lecture titled” Uncommon blessings of the month of Ramadan” in the ongoing AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Ramadan lecture series.


The well attended lecture was held at the A.G.F AbdulRazaq’s residence, Surulere, Ilorin.

The Ilorin – born cleric recalled how the elites constituted themselves as opponents to the late Admiral Mohammed Lawal, the late General AbdulKareem Adisa and Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki.


He charged the elites and the entire Ilorin Emirate indigenes to rally round the incumbent governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who he described as a performer and proud son of Ilorin.


Sheikh Ahmad sought Allah’s continued guidance for Governor AbdulRazaq and prayed that he achieves successes in all ramifications at end of his tenure.


The cleric equally urged the Ilorin people to jealousy guard the virtues of Sheikh Alimi, anchored on knowledge acquisition as against the lust for material wealth. 

  

In his closing remarks, a grassroot politician and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Alh Usman Bibire Ajape corroborated the submissions of the guest lecturer, especially on the need for the elites to rally round Governor AbdulRazaq.


The chairman of Asa local government area who spoke on behalf of his colleagues in Moro, Ilorin West, Ilorin East and Ilorin South local government areas, expressed their total support for Governor AbdulRazaq.


He urged the people of Ilorin, especially the political appointees and public officers to rally round the governor and respect his views on matters relating to the 2027 general elections.


He said the governor has performed excellently well and deserve the support of all.
