 Gov AbdulRazaq Mourns Journalist  Layi Olarewaju of the Sun Newspapers

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed shock and sadness over the death of veteran journalist 'Layi Olarewaju, The Sun Newspapers' Kwara State correspondent.


In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary,Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor commiserated with the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Correspondents' Chapel, and Olarewaju's family, describing him as a dedicated journalist and media unionist. "The governor described the former Chairman, Correspondents' Chapel of NUJ, Kwara state, Mr. Olarewaju, as a veteran journalist and media unionist whose legacy spans decades of excellent reporting and commitment to the welfare of fellow journalists," the statement read.
