Dr Toyin Alabi Condoles Emir of Ilorin over Death of Chief Imam
Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Saliu (OON), describing it as a profound loss to the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the Muslim Ummah. In a condolence message, Alabi commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate Council, and the family of the late Chief Imam.
The late Sheikh Saliu, who died at 75, was a distinguished Islamic cleric devoted to scholarship, service, and promoting peace and moral values. Alabi noted that his death serves as a reminder of life's transient nature. He was respected for his knowledge, patience, humility, and leadership.
Alabi prayed that Allah accepts the late Chief Imam as a faithful servant, forgives his shortcomings, and grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also prayed for comfort for his family and the Ilorin Muslim community.
