AAT University's VC Sympathises With Emir of Ilorin, Over the Death of Chief Imam, Muh'd Bashir Fulani
The Vice Chancellor of AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin University (AATU), Oke-Ogba, Ganmo, Kwara State, Professor AbdulRauf Ambali, on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor, Governing Council, Board of Trustees, Management, Staff and Students of the University, commiserates with the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate Council and the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) on the passing of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammed Bashir Soliu Fulani.
The Acting Vice Chancellor in a statement described the demise of the revered Chief Imam is a monumental loss not only to the Ilorin Emirate but to the entire Muslim Ummah and the nation at large. Sheikh Muhammed Bashir Soliu Fulani, according to him was a beacon of faith, humility and moral uprightness, whose life was devoted to the service of Islam, peaceful coexistence and the spiritual guidance of the people. His wisdom, scholarship and exemplary leadership left indelible marks on generations of faithful and contributed immensely to harmony and stability within Ilorin Emirate.
The AATU community mourns this great religious icon and joins millions of admirers in prayers for the repose of his soul. We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, rewards his noble deeds with Al-Jannah Firdaus, and grants the Emir of Ilorin, the Emirate Council, IEDPU, his family and the entire Ilorin community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
